About Me

Hi! My name is Maliyah, and I am many things; a big dreamer, a passionate community advocate, and of course, a lifelong student. But let's start from the beginning. 

As a child, I was always curious about the world as it was versus how it should be. Things never felt quite right. And I'll be honest, that confusion never really went away. As I grew up, I continued to envision what a great world looked like; people not struggling to live, a harmonious relationship with the planet and all it's inhabitants, and most importantly, aspirations shared by society rooted in possibility, not limitation.

As time went on, I began to experience the rewards of embracing that last piece, "an attitude rooted in possibility". I have since walked away from the expectations and parameters set by Western society. Today, I have made it my life goal to help shape a world that reflects the vision of what could be, and more importantly, what should be. My work centers around creating learning opportunities and supporting initiatives that are community-led and rooted in purpose. I believe that transformative change doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens when people come together, share knowledge, and reimagine what’s possible.
